Quick answer

Logitech makes two kinds of USB receiver, and they don't work with each other's devices. Logitech says Unifying is its proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless protocol and Logi Bolt is based on Bluetooth Low Energy. Look at the bottom of your mouse or keyboard for the matching logo to tell which one it uses.
