When people ask ChatGPT for a [your business], do you come up?

We check whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Grok mention you, show who they name instead, and clean up the listings and site basics that decide whether you can be picked at all.

How it works

Three steps, no guesswork about what we did

  1. 1. Free check

Tell us your business name, website and the city you serve (or, for software, your product category). We ask a few buyer-style questions in the assistants by hand and email you what came back: are you named, and who is named instead.

  2. 2. Scorecard and fix list

The full package runs about 20 buyer-style prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Grok, several times each. You get a branded PDF within 48 hours with where you appear, where you're missing, the competitors that show up, and a short fix list.

  3. 3. Foundation and cleanup

We set up or clean up the listings that matter for your field, make your business details match everywhere, give you a review plan and check your site. Then we run the same prompts again at 30 days and at 60 to 90 days so you can compare.

What's included

The groundwork that makes you eligible to be named

This isn't a blast to hundreds of directories. Google's spam policies list "low-quality directory or bookmark site links" as link spam, and we haven't seen good evidence that mass submissions change what AI assistants say. So we do fewer listings and do them properly.

Local businesses

For shops, trades, clinics, firms and restaurants

  • Core listings: Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, Yelp, Facebook, BBB and MapQuest, created or cleaned up.
  • 3 to 5 industry directories for your field, for example Avvo, FindLaw or Justia for lawyers, Healthgrades for dentists, Angi for trades, Tripadvisor or OpenTable for restaurants.
  • Name, address and phone cleanup so the same details appear everywhere.
  • A review plan for asking real customers for reviews. We never write or buy reviews.
  • Site checks: robots.txt lets Bingbot and OpenAI's OAI-SearchBot in, and your pages carry LocalBusiness schema.

Why these first: in BrightLocal's study of 1.97 million citations from Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT, Google Business Profile was the top source, at just over 28% of all citations, and Yelp was one of the most-cited sources. BrightLocal also found that around 93% of the cited domains were individual business websites, which is why the site checks are in the package.

SaaS and online products

For software, apps and online tools

  • Core profiles: G2, Capterra, Product Hunt and Crunchbase.
  • 10 to 20 curated AI and industry directories picked for your category, not a bulk list.
  • A pitch list of real "best X tools" articles in your category that are worth asking to be included in.
  • Reddit guidance: how to take part honestly in the communities your buyers use, as yourself, without spam or fake accounts.
  • Site checks: crawler access, clear product and pricing pages, and Organization or SoftwareApplication schema.

Plainly: directories mainly get a product into the set an assistant considers. The pages that tend to get cited are articles and lists. In Wix Studio's study of LLM citations, list articles were the most cited content type overall (21.9%) and made up 40.86% of citations for commercial-intent prompts.

Both packages include the AI Visibility Scorecard, a short fix list and a branded PDF delivered within 48 hours.

The scorecard

How we measure, and what the report looks like

  • Fixed prompts, fixed location. We agree about 20 buyer-style questions with you and run them from the same city every time.
  • Several runs per assistant. AI answers change from one run to the next, so each prompt runs 3 to 5 times in each assistant and we report "mentioned in X of N runs" rather than a yes or no.
  • Done by hand. We type the prompts into each assistant ourselves. We don't scrape Google or anyone else.
  • A snapshot, not a ranking. The scorecard shows what the assistants said on the days we checked. We re-run the same prompts at 30 days and at 60 to 90 days so you can see what moved.

The report also lists which listings are missing or inconsistent and a short, ordered fix list.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can you guarantee rankings or that ChatGPT will mention me?

No. Nobody outside these companies controls what their assistants say, and anyone who promises a ranking or a mention is guessing. What we can promise is the work: the listings, the cleanup, the site checks and the report. If we don't deliver those, you get your money back.

How long until anything changes?

Listings usually go live within days to a few weeks, though some platforms make you verify by phone, mail or video first. AI answers update on each company's own schedule, which we can't see or speed up. That's why we re-check at 30 days and again at 60 to 90 days. Some businesses see little change in that window, and we'll tell you if that's what the numbers show.

What can you control, and what can't you?

We control which listings get set up, whether your name, address and phone match everywhere, your site's crawler access and schema, the review plan, and an honest report. We don't control how each assistant picks its answers, what customers write in reviews, what competitors do, or how fast a platform approves a listing.

Why not submit my business to 50 or more directories?

Google's spam policies name low-quality directory links as link spam, and we haven't seen good evidence that bulk submissions change what AI assistants say. A smaller set of listings that people and assistants actually use, kept accurate, is the better foundation.

Is the free check really free?

Yes. We run a few buyer-style questions about your kind of business in the main assistants by hand and email you what we see. No card and no sales call. You can unsubscribe from the email list at any time.
