Quick answer
Mostly yes, if both are "A5 style" detachable blades. Wahl says its KM Cordless clipper is compatible with all detachable "A5 style" blades on the market, and that its own Competition blades fit "other competitor detachable blade clippers". Each brand words its own compatibility a little differently, so here is exactly what each one says.
Andis UltraEdge and CeramicEdge detachable blades, by size:
Andis UltraEdge #10 Blade Andis UltraEdge #15 Blade Andis UltraEdge #30 Blade Andis CeramicEdge #10 BladeWhat each brand says fits
| Brand and clipper | What the maker says |
|---|---|
| Wahl KM Cordless | Compatible with all detachable "A5 style" blades on the market. Wahl adds that its clippers perform best with Wahl blades. |
| Wahl Competition and Ultimate Competition blades | Fit the KM Cordless, KM10, KM5, KM2, Power Grip, SS-Pro, MaxCoat and Thick Coat clippers, "as well as other competitor detachable blade clippers". |
| Andis AGC2 | Compatible with Andis M-Force, UltraEdge and CeramicEdge detachable blades. |
| Oster Turbo A5 | "Compatible with all Oster A5 detachable blades." Oster's page doesn't mention other brands' blades. |
The exceptions
- Clippers that aren't detachable-blade models. Wahl's and Oster's statements cover detachable (A5-style) blade clippers. PetEdge also sells adjustable-blade clippers as a separate category. If you aren't sure which kind you have, check your clipper's manual before buying blades.
- Andis ceramic cutters on M-Force blades. Andis's chart says its ceramic replacement cutters are not compatible with M-Force blades. Also, the medium cutter only fits sizes 40 and 50, and the coarse and fine cutters fit standard sizes except 40 and 50.
- Wide blades. On Andis's chart, wide blades such as the 10W and 30W take their own wide ceramic cutters, and M-Force Wide blades pair with wide attachment combs. A standard cutter or comb isn't listed for them.
Before you buy a blade for a different brand of clipper
- Confirm your clipper takes detachable blades (A5 style). Wahl and Oster both use that term.
- Check your clipper maker's compatibility page. Not every maker says it supports other brands.
- Pick the size from the blade size chart.
How we work: every compatibility statement on this page is quoted or summarized from Wahl's help center, Andis's product page and blade chart, or Oster's product page. We don't claim any blade fits a clipper unless its maker says so. Sources are listed below.
